Middle School 8th Graders - Join the WJ Crew Team! - Come to Our Spring Learn-to-Row Trial - May 2025

WJ Crew Club (the rowing team for Walter Johnson High School) offers a “Learn-to-Row” program this spring. The program is open to anyone who is a current 8^th Grader attending either North Bethesda or Tilden Middle Schools.
Details of the Spring Learn-to-Row:
- Location: Bladensburg Waterfront Park (4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg, MD) – bus transportation is provided, except for Saturday, May 31st, where participants need to organize their own transportation/carpool. Bus departs from Middle Schools and returns to Walter Johnson High School.
- Schedule:
  - North Bethesda Middle School: Thursday, May 29^th and Saturday, May31st
  - Tilden Middle School: Friday, May 30^th, and Saturday, May 31^st
- Time: Thursday/Friday – after Middle School ends to 7:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM
- Cost: Free!
The program teaches the fundamentals of rowing and offers an on-the-water experience with WJ Crew coaches, assistant coaches, and team athletes.
This is a great way to try out rowing and learn about our nationally recognized team!
