Here we go again. Here are all the details for the Varsity trip to Philly on Sunday for the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Arrival Time: All rowers and coxswains need to be at the trailer by 8:00am. Parking is far from the course so please add that in to your travel time. The trailer is going up early Sunday morning, I’ll send an e-mail with its location Saturday night.
If you are running late LET YOUR COACH KNOW!
Coach Emma’s Cell: 303-946-6424
Coach Davis’s Cell: 202-400-0432
Note about hotels: Unlike Stotes, the team does not have a block of hotels reserved for this weekend. If you want to avoid driving up early Sunday morning, you are on your own to figure out hotel arrangements. I know that a number of folks are going up Saturday – please send requests out on the Parent List if looking to coordinate with others going up early.
Parking passes: I have a limited number of parking passes that will allow you to park on Kelly Drive. If you are carpooling and will have MORE THAN ONE rower/coxswain in your car. Please let me know and I will give you a pass.
Location and Directions and Parking: All you need to know here: http://www.hosr.org/
Race Times: The men’s and women’s fours are scheduled for 9:40 and 10am. Followed by the W2V8 at 11:50, the M8+ at 1:40 and finishing up with the W8+ at 2:00.
You can check out the whole schedule and our competition here: http://www.hosr.org/
(FYI- line-ups listed online are not necessarily the current race line-ups).
Uniform: Tank, trou and long sleeves. If you don’t have a team uniform then let me know, I may have an extra that will fit you. BRING LAYERS, right now the forecast looks like it will chilly.
For Coxswains: Here is the link to the course map for you to study http://www.hosr.org/
End time: We should be done racing around 3:30. Once the trailer is loaded and I have dismissed you, you will be free to go. We will re-rig on Monday.
Other things: This is a very large event with lots to see and do. Be sure to bring lots of layers and money for the vendors at the festival tent. Coaches and coxswains need to know where you are anytime prior to your race, so please don’t wonder.
