WJ Crew’s Summer Learn to Row program will be held from March 04-08 from 2:45 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 09 from 8:00 AM – 10:30 AM at our boathouse in Bladensburg Waterfront Park (4601 Annapolis Road, Bladensburg, MD). Practice is from 2:45 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with bus transportation provided from WJ High School to Bladensburg and back. This is also the first week of practice for Novice Rowers. There is no cost to participate, so come out and see what rowing is all about! The program teaches the fundamentals of rowing and offers an on-the-water experience with WJ Crew coaches and athletes. This is a great way to try out rowing and learn about our nationally recognized team!
WJ Crew has wrapped up a successful fall season that included trips to Mercer Lake, NJ, for the Frostbite and the Bill Braxton regatta, Occoquan, VA, for the Head of the Occaquan Regatta, Wilmington, DE, for the Head of the Christina, and to Boston, MA, for the Head of the Charles regatta, the world’s largest two-day rowing event! They also competed successfully at the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Erg Sprints in Alexandria, VA.
WJ Crew offers 3-day spring (June), summer (August), and fall (September) Learn to Row programs. Stay tuned for future dates.
