WJ Crew participates in a number of races in both the fall and spring seasons. All of the team policies apply during these events.
The calendar lists the upcoming regatta schedule. If you cannot go to an event, please let your coaches know as far in advance as you can.
In addition to the general team rules and expectations, the following rules for regattas also apply:
- You must be in WJ Crew gear and athletic gear during the whole event. No street clothes at regattas.
- Unless approved by a coach in advance, it is expected that you remain at the regatta until the event is over. After most regattas, EVERYONE is expected to return to the boathouse to unload the trailer.
- When not racing or preparing to race, you should be helping boats get off and on the water or cheering on boats coming down the course.
- Parents attend races to support the team not be your maid. It is your responsibility to help set up the food tent, keep the team area clean, and help clean-up after the regatta is over. Always offer to help, and if a parent or other WJ Crew supporter asks you to do something, do it!
