Congratulations to WJ Crew for a great regatta on the beautiful Schuylkill River in Philadelphia! The Boys Varsity 8 boat came in first place – the first men’s 8 to win on the Schuylkill in program history! In that boat were: Karl Raudsepp, Noah Harper, Ethan Nguyen, Jeremiah Fan, Saul Meacham, Nathan Henderson, Ethan Aronovich, Luke Rose, and their mighty coxswain Haven Kaylor. The Boys 2nd Varsity 8 came in second, with Alex Alfelor, Robert Hsu, Adrian Marquez, Rowan Streaker, Sam Liu, Dylan Dembo, Jonny Carlisle, Casi Lausten and their coxswain Alex Isaac. The Girls Varsity 4 came in second, Olivia Herman, Ava Familant, Maggie Berrett, Anna Buchave and coxswain Ji Yu Kim were in the boat. Two doubles both came in second – Linnea Darius and Haley Minnick in the Girls Varsity category and Tata Toure and Cathy Fang in the Girls Lightweight category. Finally WJ Crew came in 5th out of 20 in the Girls JV 4. In that boat were Lara Pauw, Sydney Freund, Rachel Keehn, Caitlin Regan and coxswain Ava Rohatgi. Good job to all! Next weekend the team is headed to Delaware for the Maryland/Delaware State Championships.
