WJ Crew’s Winter Conditioning Season starts on Monday, November 29. In the winter, the rowing team spends time off of the water getting conditioned for the spring racing season. It is a great opportunity to learn the basics of the rowing stroke and get in shape for the spring season. The team welcomes all athletes to participate, even if they are just using the season to stay in shape.
The winter conditioning season consists of daily practices after school on either the team’s rowing machines at the school or at the Washington Sports Club in G Square. Registration includes a WSC membership for three months, that allows for use of the gym outside of practice times. The coaches use workouts to increased strength, conditioning, and work on the technical aspects of the sport.
If you are interested in staying in shape with WJ Crew this winter, please contact Head Coach Andrew Lalley at firstname.lastname@example.org. (Current rowers, please click this link to register: https://walterjohnsoncrew.sportngin.com/register/form/921938200.)
